hiring car for just 1 week mid stay in Orlando ...
Hi
Trying to cut down costs for our next trip. Planning on staying at cabana bay for 4 or 5 nights at the start of our trip so won't need a car at the start. We would visit Sea world so would need to find out costs from universal to seaworld and back but that is all. and from airport to universal. But we would save the $20 parking fee at cabana bay for 5 nights. Then 7 nights at Disney, where we might need a car to get out an about for a bit, for say 5 or 6 days as could get magical express back to airport. So, how much roughly to hire a car when we are there and where would we pick it up from? there are 6 of us so we need a mini van. Can we hire in the UK or when we get there? anyone else done this? last august we hired a mini van from tampa for 19 nights and it cost us £550 through alamo brits. im sure prices for next year will be higher thanks

We did this last visit. Booked with Alamo and picked up at Disney car care centre. You just go to your Disney hotel reception and book the free transport to take you to the car care centre and then when you drop car off, they bring you back to hotel.
This year through advice on here, our cheapest quote was with Avis booked through British Airways and we are picking up at a hotel beside Disney Springs. Hope this helps.

The nearest Alamo office to Universal is located at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel at the top of International Drive. It'll be about 1.5 to 2 miles away. Unfortunately no shuttle service in operation there.
