Alamo brits gone crazy prices

I always check back to see if my hire has gone down and the prices on there seem ridiculous at the moment but others cheap. for our dates a premium car is £350, a full size is £383 even a standard is more. the SUV prices have just jumped about £150 too since last night.

is there any method to the pricing on alamo? I sometimes think it seems tied to exchange rate but that would explain what order these prices are coming up in plus the pounds has actually risen in value the last few days.

I'm not complaining as we got a pretty decent price anyway i just wondered if there was a reason some cheaper models are coming back a lot dearer?

I had been looking for ages and it was £465. Last couple of days it's jumped up nearly £200.

I've booked with Andy at £562 but free cancellation if needed. I'm going to keep looking at Alamo Brits and hope the price comes back down.

So cross as should've booked it!

I've booked mine by going through travelsupermarket car hire picking my car with gold insurance with Alamo for £475 . Going through Alamos main site the basic price was £559 and that's not with gold insurance .

Could I ask what link people are using as the site has just been changed and this could be the reason for high prices.
The old site no longer works
alamo/brits/
The new site gives my rental prices the same as they have always been for the last 3 months
alamo/partners/members/brits/

BUt the price all depends on how late you leave it to check
Supply and demand
If there are loads of booking for say full size suv then the price goes up
But if the demand fro full size suv then the price goes down

Yeah I got a bit of a shock tonight when I checked the prices, gone way up since last night. Wishing I had booked ours back in January as they've continually been increasing ever since. x
