Alamo price increase
Last year I booked with Alamo for Easter 2016 but only booked it 6 weeks before travel and the price was £265 for fullsize car for 14 days.
Been pricing up Easter 2018 and for same full size car for 14 days they are quoting £547. Have prices gone up that much with the exchange rate or do prices come down closer to time? |

Cannot comment on the prices, but a tip I got from another thread - get a copy of the Brit Guide to Orlando (about £12 on Amazon). You can then use the Alamo Brits link and get 10% off at Alamo.

Just use the link anyway see what the price difference is... no one has ever been asked for the book I don't think people bring it up all the time, alamo/partners/members/brits/

Prices on the Brits website change all of them time. It'll probably become cheaper at some point and the increase again. Not always cheaper right before you leave.
Price for the full size car with myself (Alamo) is coming back at £411 for two weeks (31st March to 14th April 2018) |

You don't need the book. You can use Brits to book hire cars anywhere in the USA. Can't imagine you would be asked for an Orlando guide in Chicago for example.
I went thro Alamo Brits last week. As usual no one asked me for the book. In the offchance they did I would have inadvertently " left" the book on the plane after reading it on the way over |

I booked with Alamo brits (didnt know about the dibb site), at a price I was happy with, then keep checking back - if the price comes down I'll get the difference back.
