Panda Express is very good. At least I thought so.
I mean, it's not fine dining or anything but you get decent portions of takeaway Chinese food with plenty of choice.

The QS places in the Universal parks aren't that great. The Harry Potter ones are the best (in my opinion) and do some different meals - like cornish pasties. The Krusty burger in the Simpsons area is, erm, interesting if you don't mind clogged arteries. Steer clear.

As for snacks, Cinnabons (there's one in IOA - can't remember if there's one in US) do really nice cinnamon buns. And there's a Starbucks in US.

I do really like the look of Panda Express and I saw the cinnamon buns too, they look good.
I am not a burger or hot dog fan, too greasy for me but I think my kids will want to say they ate a Krusty burger as they love the Simpsons 😊

Backwater Bar looks lovely for a cold beer break. Thanks I'm sure my husband will particularly be grateful for this tip 😊

We do fancy Hard Rock cafe, did you have to wait long for a table?

Enjoy your holiday, we are getting excited for ours now. Just over 5 weeks to go 😀
We went about 3pm and got a table straightaway, was very quiet in there, evenings are a different story, but we've never had to wait more than 15 minutes, it's a huge place! Service is usually quick.

It's a nice place to look around and you are welcome to go view all the memorabilia, for us when we were first timers there it was a must do place, but we are big music lovers!

Thank you, we are having an amazing time, and your five weeks will be gone before you know it! Enjoy!

Best thing I ate in the parks was a chicken taco from the truck in Springfield. It didn't look like much but it was fresh and tasty. My husband enjoyed his Krusty Burger.

We have had some unmemorable food from the Monsters Cafe, and downright terrible food at the Three Broomsticks (sorry).

We prefer nipping out to Citywalk though - far more choice and better quality food.

We found 3pm was a great time to eat at Disney last year. Much quieter to eat outside 'normal' lunch and dinner times. We will try that again at Universal.

It does seem better to eat at Ciťywalk from all the replies. We have heard Leaky Cauldron is better than 3 Broomsticks but again, we have 2 huge HP fans in the family so we have to eat in one of them.
