The one thing I learned many years ago was not to be afraid to try things yourself. There is an assumption that many things are difficult - but the reality, most places allow the 16 year old new guys to do this stuff and TBH, the know less than nothing.

After a bit more reading and research, I don't think I would do the aircon myself. However, I still like the philosophy of tspill's words in general.
