Please do not pay the $5, I am here Atm and went to collect my book there was some people in front who were considering paying, my polite British self decided not to tell stop them and explain but you do not need to print anything, neither have wifi at the guest services however for Vineland go towards DKNY ( the wifi picked up in the restroom corridor) and for I Drive I walked towards the centre and picked up some wifi for the citizen shop. Just go to the Simon mall website for the mall login or register for e via club choose to see offers and you can display a page that you can show to guest services, the wifi will be lost but of you keep it on the screen it will not refresh As long as the phone stays on.
I also took a screenshot just in case but last year I know they wanted me to scroll on the page to make sure it was live, mad considering it is a free club! |

I just saw an article how a shop said the Brazilians are not shopping .Business is way down i feel that a lot of places take advantage of tourists i say this as US resident there is a point where it could get expensive and tourism will suffer hope not .

I very much doubt that Brit visitors will have any overall affect on shop prices in the USA.

Getting Excited
|
Just back this week.
Noticeable reduction in bargains and overall footfall at outlets and malls. Labor day sales were a much lower key event than in previous years. Some bargains still available but much fewer than in previous years. |

flying out a week today, will be interesting to compare to our April trip as we got some cracking bargains especially in RL - was close to 65% from memory.

it does depend on the time of year, ie during US school holidays you'll struggle but in September when the area is quiet you tend to see some lower prices.
We really need the South Americans to stop buying to force the prices down, they are delighted to pay considerably more for designer clothes and will hoard at prices the brits would walk away from. Good to hear the numbers and crazy spending of the South americans are down, might just the rest of us a chance. Although the poor exchange rate is killing us. Just to note the prices started creeping up the moment Simon malls bought the outlet (think it was the old bellz) that they did not already own... no competition, captive tourist audience = higher prices. |

We were there over Labour Day weekend and Coach had a 50% everything in the store sale. MK had some nice offers (25% off already discounted clearance line) and Kate Spade was 60%. Delighted me no end because I am a bag lady. Others not so much - more like buy one get second half price which is not too much of a bargain for me. We did pop into Tommy Hilfiger and it was meh - until I went straight for the 70% clearance racks and got nice shirts for $15.
Ellenton outlet mall is much, much quieter and they had racks of cheap(er) stuff outside the shops to bring in punters. GAP, Quiksilver, Bass Outlets had less than $10/$15 stuff. I should have bought more hoodies! Bought BOGOF shoes at Crocs too although they are a little funky. |

Impact of the exchange rate?
A $10 item could cost £6.67 (@$1.50: £1) Now it could cost £7.69 (@$1.30:£1) Of course if you had changed your spends when it was $1.75:£1 then it will cost you £5.72 😁😁 *rates for illustration only 😎
