New Walmart in Davenport
Hi All - Anyone heard anything/any progress about a new Walmart being opened on the North Ridge Trail (off the US27 near Champions Gate)? I think its being opened on 1st October. There is also one planned on the corner of the 192 and N Old Lake Wilson Rd.

Here now. 10 minutes or less from Champions gate in Sandy Ridge villas.
We are driving to the huge Walmart on the corner of the 192 and Poinciana blvd. There's an Aldi opened opposite too and they have some great deals. Locally here is Publix and they seem much more expensive.

We'll be staying around the Sandy Ridge villas so will be using champions gate, there's also the publix on the corner of s old lake wilson and osceola. Last time we were at glenbrook in claremont and used the walmart off the us27. I've heard the prices in supermarkets have aren't as reasonable as they were when we wine a few years ago.

The Walmart website states that the new one is opening early October on the north ridge trail - which is handy in and around Davenport. Will soon find out next month.

We have found the huge Walmarts are generally cheaper.
If you think of it as at home, the smaller Tescos etc are more expensive. The Publix near here are more expensive than the large Walmart and the Aldi opposite has some great deals cheaper than Walmart-especially on health food! Salads and fruits For example a large bag of salad is $1 ( $3 in Walmart ) Huge water Mellon $3 agains pt $5 Milk etc are all cheaper You need a quarter for the cart though and plastic bags are 10 cents ( or reuse Walmarts free bags?!)
