Glitch/Cheap price thread July/August 2019

Finally booked 😅! Belfast to MCO 14th July for 3 weeks. Virgin PE both ways £846 pp. Delighted - had hoped to get it sub £850 but was starting to panic that the prices wouldn’t come down. They sat at £1124 for ages. In fact they were that price at 3pm but by 4.15pm they’d come down. Such a relief to have the searching over. Just the car hire to do now.

I have found a pretty good fly drive with BA but it’s flying into Miami and I HATE that airport and the long drive to Orlando the next day. So I am holding out for a few more weeks and if nothing else appears then I’m biting the bullet and booking this one!

This is the same with me, the route via PHL at present is around £2k more than last year and costs more than a direct flight... im in the hope this will drop soon !

Think all those codeshares are hurting, hence prices are not decreasing.

I have just booked a package with BA. Flying Leeds-LHR-Miami 17 Aug, staying in Miami for 3 nights and then up to Orlando at Rosen Pointe for 12 nights before flying back on 1 Sept. Flights, hotels and car hire for 2 adults 2 children (inc 1 12 yr old) for £3417. Flying from Leeds is amazing for us as we live 5 mins away. We have already got tickets for DC in the blue Friday sale so will just be doing a mix of DC, Aquatica, Seaworld, Busch for the 12 days plus shopping and relaxing so no Disney or Universal this time but we are planning a big Disney trip in 2020 or 2021.

Flights to Miami in general are much cheaper than Orlando and Tampa even after adding baggage on if that helps anyone. We're not been to Miami before so it might be nice to have a couple of days there.

I'm back in the hunt for summer holiday flights again. This will be the fourth year in a row since our 'once in a lifetime' trip that we've decided to do something different and then when it has come to it we would all prefer to go back to Orlando. Planning this as a trip without parks but we've buckled at the last minute on that in the past too! If I recall correctly, from about mid-Jan last year BA had flights MAN-LHR-MIA for around £300. Would bite their hands off if they came around again! Fingers crossed.

We are the same always book Jan/Feb and always find great prices - every year at this time I get a bit worried but even now I'm finding prices that are doable if nothing else comes up but I will hold out until about mid Feb then book if nothing better comes along
