Mobile Upgrading universal tickets to annual pass?

We have the UK 14-day tickets and I’m now thinking about upgrading to an annual pass with a view to possibly returning next April! Has anyone done this and do you know if you have to do it before you’ve used the tickets for the first time, or if you can do it at any point during the 14 days? Basically we have 3-Park tickets this year, but would only be looking at 2-park tickets next year. So it may make sense to get them at at end of the holiday as presumably we can’t use VB once we upgrade. Any advice gratefully received!

Once you use it at VB you are stuck to a three park ticket. Others have said you can upgrade to a two park ticket if you don’t go VB, I didn’t get that option last year when I upgraded. I had to get a three park ticket.

When you upgrade to AP it will go off the first day you used your tickets as start date.

I’m thinking about doing this but it will depend on whether or not we can get 2 park ap’s. The cost between both is a deal breaker for us as we won’t even use the VB aspect of the ticket.

i contacted universal about upgrading an unused 3 park ticket to a 2 park AP(as doubt we will use VB part) but was told a 3 park ticket can only be upgraded to a 3 park AP . have to wait to see when we get there

We upgraded to a seasonal pass in February. We could only change to a 3 park as they no longer allow changing from 3 park to 2 park. We paid $50 each to upgrade to the seasonal.

Do you happen to know what the cost was for the preferred pass to upgrade?

We managed to upgrade to a 2 park annual pass from a 3 park 14 day ticket is September and back then I had read reports on here that they were not upgrading this way but they did it when I asked. We upgraded on the first day before we used the 14 day ticket at the Guest Services at the Studios and explained that we couldn't use VB because of a medical condition (which is true ).

For those interested in the costs, we went from a 3pk 14 day to a Premier Annual pass and this cost us an extra $447.28 inc tax for two, the trade in value of the 14 day ticket was $329.99

This is incredibly helpful as we can’t use VB due to medical issues either. Thank you so much.
