It all started with a PowerPoint... New Orleans and Orlando April 2018

Hello!

I can’t believe how late I’m writing this, we only have 73 days until we are on our way!

This is our third Florida pre-trip, we went in 2014 and 2016 for our honeymoon, which I also filmed (and have almost finished editing). We are:

Sinead (28, will be 29 when we go)

This is me! I work in student accommodation in a University and I’m also studying at Uni part time. This will be my fourth trip, and I am most excited for Tower of Terror, frozen margaritas, and Happily Ever After.

Steve (30)

Steve works as a marketing manager, and this will be his third trip to Florida. He’s most excited for Haunted Mansion, chicken zingers at Millers, and drinking around the world at Epcot.

How this trip came about

We deliberated about this trip for a long, long time! After we came back from honeymoon, we decided that we wanted to go to California in 2018. Obviously we couldn’t book anything for a while, so it was a matter of waiting to get our plans in motion. I ummed and ahhed about it (I would go to Florida every single time if it was up to me), but we were pretty set on our plans. I took on a new sort of job which means I can only go away during University holidays, so we planned on April 2018.

This was all solid…. until I was browsing Florida prices (like I always am to be honest), and saw an absolute steal with Thomas Cook. £1,400 for the two of us for 2 weeks at the Clarion Lake Buena Vista, and there was also a further £280 discount… I was sold!

Steve wasn’t sure, as he was set on California but he loves Florida too, so he wasn’t sure! We’d just ordered some food, so while he went out to pick it up, I decided to make a powerpoint presentation on why we should go, including a full slide titled emotional blackmail which was photos of us in Florida! I am the worst I know!

It must have worked, because after my powerpoint Steve was on board! We were going back to Florida!
