Ok, I'm almost ready to jump, GLA - MCO Virgin direct, econ out PE back with 21 night standard SUV with full insurance, tank of fuel and extra drivers for 2 adults, 2 kids £3259.15...

We go 24/10 for three weeks
Going Manchester Heathrow New York Orlando get in at 5.30pm
The returns
Mco Philadelphia Heathrow Manchester
All good flight times too so we are really happy
And it was half the cost of virgin

We finally managed to book our flights on 8th February. I randomly checked prices on VA's site after talking to my sister who had found flights from Gatwick for £482 direct. I had given up on getting direct flights with VA so hadn't even bothered to look for a week or so. We have booked:

5th October 10:30 MAN to MCO arriving 14:30
20th October 18:30 MCO to MAN arriving at 07:35

The price was £1572.97 for 2 adults and an infant with his own seat, but we had miles to use so got this for £1140.97. I paid to reserve seats and as it's only £5 for ELR, did this for both flights. It cost a whopping £255(!) but we need to sit together and I won't take the risk of us being split.

Now I need to find a cheap one nighter at Disney for when we arrive as our OKW booking doesn't start til the 6th and they want £360 for the extra night...

Finally booked. Virgin direct flights from glasgow. Econ out PE home for 650pp. Gonna keep trying for decent upgrade outbound but today it's 960... ummmmm no ta. Booked with VH so we can pop over from OKW and get rid of the bags at springs.

We ended up booking with icelandair as was half the price of virgin and seems and easy stop over- actually quite excited that might see northern lights on way home!
Just looked at virgin now to see if costs come down and pe is currently cheaper than econ!
