Illuminations from Teppan Edo

Is this even possible? Has anyone done it?

I realised I somehow managed not to book an ADR! Just looked and I can have 18:40 or 19:40. The first one should have us out in time to watch around the lake but I suddenly wondered if there's a way of watching them from that balcony.

We've eaten at Teppan Edo before just not during fireworks!

You can watch illuminations from the balcony,but you have to get the corner to avoid the pagoda

Is it worth doing or better to finish meal first and watch from lake?
