Just need to book a gatwick airport hotel and then transfer from Lhr to that hotel.
Being from just outside Cardiff this is a no brainier deal for me.

There are no trains that run that route at that time of night, Heathrow express doesn't run from Cardiff. I suspect it is a bus..

Depends on what time you are looking at, I was looking at 20:10 leaving Cardiff on 22/08 (Sunday). Also Heathrow express trains do not run from Cardiff.

My train time is 19.45 on a sat night and there are quite a few trains that leave around this time. I know the Heathrow express doesn't go from Cardiff but does go from London Paddington to Heathrow.
My guess if it is a train is its the Swansea to Paddington train that I will be catching in Cardiff.
Either way I wonder whe I will know for certain.
