Current airline willingness to sell, UK point of sale.
VS107 J8 C4 D4 I4 Z0 W9 S9 H0 K0 Y9 B9 R9 L9 U9 M9 E9 Q9 X0 V0 N0 O0 VS3123 J0 C0 D0 I0 Z0 W0 S0 H0 K0 Y0 B0 R0 L0 U0 M0 E0 Q0 X0 V0 N0 O0 LHR-DTW still selling in all cabins, cheapest fare classes in each sold. DTW-MCO all the flights are showing sold out, but Delta are still selling the flight online so I suspect some issue here with the numbers I'm seeing, perhaps DL are not exposing their data. BA2167 J0 C0 DC RC IC W1 E1 TC Y3 B3 H3 K3 M3 L3 V3 S1 NC QC OC G0 BA2166 J3 C2 D1 RC IC W1 E1 TC Y9 B9 H8 KC M0 LC VC SC NC QC OC G0 Outbound looking heavily sold in all cabins, still selling WT and a small amount of WTP. Return looking even heavier sold in WT, (only fully flex left) some space (not a lot) in Club. BA2037 J9 C9 D9 R8 I3 W3 E1 TC Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q4 OC G0 BA2036 J9 C9 D9 R5 IC W4 E3 TC Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G1 Both flights wide open for sale, only WTP looking reasonably sold. CW a little more sold on the return, but still plenty of seats to sell. MT156 Y9 O9 AL BC MC HC VC KC EC TC UC GC QC LL WC MT2605 Y5 OL AL B9 M9 H9 V9 K9 EC TC UC GC QC LL W9 Outbound looks very full, only selling most expensive classes. A bit less on the return, though still fairly sold. Not very familiar with TC's fare classes, so can't give more detail. J9 C9 D8 R5 IC W5 E5 TC Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 NC QC OC G0 Cheapest economy sold out, but otherwise fairly open for sale. UA37 - J3 C3 D0 Z0 P0 Y9 B9 M9 E9 U9 H9 Q9 V6 W4 S0 T0 L0 K0 G0 N0 UA730 - F9 C3 A9 D0 Z0 P0 Y9 B9 M9 E9 U9 H9 Q9 V6 W4 S0 T0 L0 K0 G0 N0 UA1601 - F9 C6 A9 D0 Z0 P0 Y9 B9 M9 E9 U9 H9 Q9 V9 W9 S9 T0 L0 K0 G0 N0 UA36 - J7 C6 D0 Z0 P0 Y9 B9 M9 E9 U9 H9 Q9 V9 W9 S9 T0 L0 K0 G0 N0 UA37 sold in cheaper fare classes in all cabins, but still selling. Similar on other flights, though UA36 more lightly sold in business class. Note that for UA36/37, the availability on a straight EDI-EWR is slightly different (better), the above is what they are willing to sell on this connecting itinerary. Edited at 01:51 PM. |

It tells you how many seats the airline is still willing to sell on that flight. If you're trying to find out how busy the flight will be, all this can do is give you an indication, nobody outside the airline can see the true loads and they don't share that info in public. Airlines overbook flights by varying amounts depending on route, so still selling seats doesn't mean an aircraft is not full, though selling a lot of seats would indicate a light load.
The first character in each pair is the fare class (each cabin will have multiple fare classes from cheaper and restricted to flexible and expensive). The second character tells you how many seats the airline would sell in that fare class, so R5 tells you they are willing to sell 5 more seats in R class (which is a business class fare). The number will never be more than 9, even if they have 50 seats to sell. If the second character is a C, that means the fare class in question is sold out and closed to waitlisting. On BA, J/C/D/R/I are business class fares, W/E/T are Premium Economy and the rest above are economy. There are a couple of other fare classes not shown above that are used for redemptions etc., plus the First Class fare classes that are not mentioned because your flight has no F cabin. |

These are ExpertFlyer codes. As always the first character is the fare class. If the second character is L, that means the fare class is closed for sale, but waitlisting is still allowed. If the second character is C, the fare class is closed for sale and also closed to waitlisting. So in your quote above, you could waitlist for a seat in Y fare class, but not in E.
