Going To Make More Memories
And so the long countdown is at its end, its TRAVEL DAY! Our travel day included a visit to the Trafford centre. First meal of the holiday and I failed to get photo's :-( I will try to improve. We had lunch at the food: DH - chicken burrito with colslaw & Iced lemon tea = £9.30 DD's - 2 x chicken nugget happy meal = £4.98 Me - Veg balti & pilau rice & diet pepsi = £7.49 Everything was eaten so it was good. Had a mooch around the Trafford centre for another hour then it was off to Manchester Airport for twilight check in. It took 15 mins to get from Trafford Centre to the airport, then another 15 mins to find were we needed to park your car ( you park up in arrivals at T1 and go up to Level 5 ). There was two families in front of us but it took 30 mins to get served as the card payments wouldn't go through. For 2A 2C I managed to get everything in 3 suitcases ( all had an empty case inside plus 2 booster seats! ), 2 cases were 18kg and the 3rd was 22.8kg! They were labeled up then we had to take them to the oversized baggage hold & waved good bye to our bags with me saying a silent plea that they all turn up at MCO tomorrow. It cost £10 ( £5/adult ) to do twilight check in ( its called " sun down " @ the desk. We then went back to the Trafford Centre Travellodge ( £37 for a family room. Bargain! ). Chinese take away at the hotel was decided upon for dinner so we had a drive and hunted on down. Our bed banquet cost £21 which included King Prawn Chow Mein, Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Vegetable Satay, Fried Rice, Curry Sauce and crispy seaweed which turned out to be crispy fried noodles :-( DD's just having baths, then its bed ready for a 5am wake up call tomorrow. Did a very painless M & G at T1 departures, called the chauffer as we set off from hotel and he was waiting for us when we arrived. Through security within 20 mins. Headed to Bar MCR for some breakfast. DH - breakfast, toast & OJ DD's - porridge & hot chocolate Me - scrambled egg on toast, OJ & coffee Total = £35.31 ( inc 15% discount from a voucher I printed off from Eat, Drink & Fly.com Edited at 08:56 PM. |
