I go to Busch every year for the Howl O Scream. I think that is brilliant. I dont eat food at Busch or buy drinks
Im in a mobility scooter and found the other guests very respectful

Thank you so much for your replies. Sounds like a risk! If all goes well - weather, rides, crowds then could be a great day. And if not.. then a total waste of money. Hard decision!

We have been going to Busch for over 20 years now and our last visit was September 2023. In the past we would visit at least twice as it was one of our favourite parks. Sadly we will not be going this year as the decline for us since Covid is marked.
The park itself along with the animal exhibits are run down (we could not find a water fountain in working order) the park is extremely short staffed, food quality is poor and ridiculously expensive, and to top it all off the rides can be unreliable and often not working.

If you are a thrill seeker and you have not been before. It can be a worthwhile day.
But if half your party want to just go because of the shows and the animals it is a major let down these days. We would ride Sheikra,Montu and Cheetah hunt all day long if the queues are not too bad. Gwazi not impressed, bit of a boneshaker

It might be worth looking at an annual pass for one of your party. One year I bought myself an annual pass and this allowed me to get discounted one day tickets for the rest of our party, which worked out cheaper than buying tickets for everyone in the U.K. before we went. Not sure if this is still the case though.

We went twice in May.
We really enjoyed both times tbh. The first one we spent trying to get all of the big rides in, and the second time we revisited a couple and did some animal things like kangaroo feeding and lorikeet feeding. The food isn't great, I had a chicken tenders meal the first time, and it was anything but tender. Second time I had a kids meal and it was plenty for me Like all SeaWorld parks, ride ops is pretty slow, but there was hardly anyone there half the time to worry about it.

Gwazi shut a few years ago and yes it was a bone shaker, it's now been transformed into Iron Gwazi, uses some of the old structure but completely different ride, very smooth, one of the best coasters in florida

We rode the revised Iron Gwazi with it's new cars. Sorry to say still a bone shaker. Hats off to stalwart wooden coaster riders but it is not our thing.Sheikra all day long!
