Six Flags NJ

As part of a trip at the end of June / beginning of July we are going to Six Flags NJ for 2 days, unfortunately due to the timing for the rest the trip the only time we can go is over the weekend & I know it’s going to be busy as it’s the 4th of July weekend.

Any recommendations on how to tackle the park if you’ve been before?

We plan to be there for opening both days & stay until it closes.

I’m also looking for the best place to stay for 1 night on 6th July close by the park so any recommendations would be helpful.

According to busy day guide websites it is classed as a "forget about it" weekend (as are most weekends during June/July!). Definately get there before park opening. I would buy e-tickets in advance. Fast passes are expensive but could be worth it if you are wanting to do as many rides as possible! The Flash pass works on a sliding "waiting time" scale so $45 for reservations same as current queue time, $95 for 50% quicker, or $150 for 90% faster.

We have done a few Six Flags parks but not yet managed Great Adventure - its def on our to do list.
