Will We Actually Get There - Day 7 - Magic Kingdom & Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique
So today had been planned well in advance as I'd booked BBB as a surprise for DD ages ago.
We arrived early as we had an ADR at BOG. Again we were told we couldn't have disabled parking, so rather than try to brave the train again we paid for preferred parking $45. The monorail wasn't running yet so we caught the boat to the park. We then headed through turnstiles and up Main Street, pausing of course for the obligatory in front of the castle picture. Headed over to BOG for our breakfast, we had pre-ordered so paid, collected our rose and went and found a table in the main hall bit. I wanted to sit in the dark area but DD deemed it too scary. For breakfast DD had French toast, me and my auntie had the croissant doughnut (very delicious, I would recommend) my mum had the croque madame and the rest had the Gaston breakfast. At $30 ish per head it wasn't cheap but we all enjoyed it. We then headed to the Princess Fairytale Hall and met Rapunzel and Tiana. Then me and DD went on the carousel while everyone else had a restroom break. After that we headed to our first fastpass which was Winnie the Pooh. Everyone enjoyed this. We then headed through Fantasyland en route to our next fastpass (Haunted Mansion) and I noticed that Small World was a 10 minute wait, so I dragged everyone on that, I love it, DD loved it too, everyone else said they didn't but I think secretly inside they did! We then headed to our fastpass at Haunted Mansion, DD was a bit nervous of this one as she doesn't really like the dark, but she was OK on it. We then took a trip around the lake on the river boat as we needed to kill a bit of time before we had lunch. Lunch was at the Columbia Harbour House, we have eaten here most times we have visited Magic Kingdom, mainly because my uncle loves the clam chowder, although he says it's not as good as when they originally used to serve it in a hollowed out loaf of bread! We then wandered over to the castle and had a look around Castle Couture, where DD bought some earrings and a Hei Hei soft toy. Then it was time for BBB. I had originally been shocked at the cost, we got the Castle Package which was $300 plus tax. It included hair, make up and face gem, necklace (which was actually a really good quality one), BBB sash and bag, nail polish, outfit and accessories. DD chose to be Princess Jasmine. Firstly we went to get changed and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Then we were assigned our fairy godmother and the transformation began. After the make over we went back into Castle Couture where she had a little photoshoot. We then went to see PhilharMagic and then headed to our Enchanted Tales with Belle fastpass. DD was selected to play the beast in the show, apparently her roar was very impressive. She loved it especially as she got to dance with Belle at the end. We weren't intending to watch the parade today but as we were heading out it was about to start, we managed to get into the disabled area in front of the castle and watched from there. The dragon was my favourite but you could feel the heat! We then had a wander through the main street shops on the way out of the park. Dinner was another BBQ at the villa before collapsing into bed at about 10pm. |

What an amazing day! I didn’t realise the dragon was back in the parade after the accident last year. I’m looking to seeing that!
