I’ve selected the paddock but now I’m thinking maybe I should request the grandstand 🤔.
Last year we were in the paddock area (having always been at congress park) we were in the building next to the pool. Room number 5621.

We stayed in Grandstand solely because of first on the bus and guaranteed a seat and a space. Downside is that it can take 15 mins to get through the resort on a busy day.

boo sounds like you were in the same Block as us, nothing wrong with it, close to the bus stop & pool but the resort was pretty busy- Mid Oct- so some days there were no loungers to be had & the Fire station could be a bit noisy- I'm sure the neighbours next to mine think the same thing ! If we could guarantee Block 12 we would go with that, last paddock block before Congress, 2 min walk to CP bus stop & 5 mins from CP quiet pool. Hopefully we get the Grandstand then at least we can make a comparison for next year.

Yes Shooby, it’s sounds like the same block. Like you say nothing wrong with it but I would of preferred nearer to congress park (building 12). Maybe it’s nice to try somewhere else.

We've stayed at SSR 3 times, requested and got Grandstand all 3 times. We really love it, its so nice and quiet, a lot of good views in that area and the pool suits my water babies really well plus the drinks refill/snack bar is handy. The walk to the boat is short too. Looking at a plan, we've always been in the middle building of the three on the right of the pool. I love it there, sitting outside with a cool drink listening to the boats in the background and the grandstand clock sounding, bliss.

What time of the year do you go? Reason I’m asking is when you say quiet wondering if it would suit us as we need shade at the pool

We go in October, we tend to take the kids out of school for up to a week before they break up for the holidays, there is lots of shade round grandstand pool, tables with umbrellas but also trees round the outside.

Thank you, we always stay at congress park but our son and family can actually come with us and stay in a studio for the same number of points as us staying at congress park, crazy, in fact we could book a 2 bedroom and studio in a non preferred and still have points left , staying at congress park would take up more or less all of the points for the 2 bedroom alone

Wow that's mad! We absolutely love Grandstand. There a path behind the pool takes you to main area and boat dock. I have some pics showing a bit of the pool area and from when I was doing research, Loves2plan has some good ones too
