It was but I’m pretty sure @act1980 is a DVC member too.

If you upgraded just one of the tickets out of the family group would that still entitle you to free car parking?

Yes, and you'd also be entitled to the dining discounts / merchandise discounts.

Just a quick update. Today I managed to upgrade our 14 day ultimates to Gold DVC annual passes for $54 per person Magic Kingdom!
