Gulf coast recommendations?

We've stayed at Marco Island which is also extremely nice for beach time, we stayed at Marco Island Beach Resort in a suite with a sea view balcony, hotel has direct onto the sands at the back of hotel, beautiful!

Also direct onto the beach was Best Western Fort Myers Beach, again a balcony overlooking the ocean, direct access onto sands from back of hotel. Walkable along the beach itself to the town and pier, walk - or taxi back if too full of food to walk!

As you've said all the beaches up that coast seem to be fabulous so you can't go far wrong.

They both sound fabulous, thanks for sharing I will take a look. Regarding dining I think we just wanted a few different options, so casual chain type place one night but the choice of more formal for other nights. Thanks again
