I'm with you on Jon biting the dust (or snow). Gets rid of the Iron Throne family competition and sets us up for a Cersei/Daenerys clash.

Maybe they will chill out a little and let Cercsi learn the meaning of karma before they rush to the rescue...

However I'm not on board with this theory as apparantley the battle of Winterfell is the longest continuous battle sequence ever put to film. So it must be the main battle.

I reckon Dany will let him die, won’t kill him but won’t save him either. She would only have to kill samwell or Bran and no one would know who he really is.

Like a poster upthread this is the sort of episode I like. I prefer my stabbing to be in the back, not the front 🤣
For me, the big battle will be a boring episode. The spectacle and cgi may be impressive but I prefer story.
