Toronto

Hi, I am travelling to Toronto in just over 2 weeks. I have done our ETA's which is obviously the major thing, but just wanted to check if there is anything else I need to do or take as I have never been to Canada before?

Thanks for your help.

Just your ETA!

Now there are machines for immigration - very easy to use!

Have fun - I am off to Quebec this week and can’t wait!

Thanks Mel.

Starting to panic now as it gets closer! Don't know why but I always get more nervous when I am traveling out of Europe! I'm the same every time I go to America and I've been nine times now, so it's not like I don't know what to expect

Have a lovely time in Quebec

Will you be driving? We did a US road trip and went across the boarder to Toronto and Niagara Falls but I didn't realise my Tom Tom sat nav didn't have maps for Canada until we were setting off for Toronto

Have a fantastic time, Toronto and Niagara were lovely. We had dinner at the top of the CN Tower in the 360 restaurant and as it included entry it didn't cost that much extra.

I’d second a trip to Niagara on the Lake (much nicer town than the actual falls which is very touristy). There’s a wildlife artist called Edward Spera that has a store - he’s self taught and his paintings are stunning. If you’re lucky, he might be in as I bought a canvas of a bear and he signed the back for our wedding anniversary. Granted, it was a pain trying to get it home but means a lot to us both.

Stop off at a ice winery (better if you’re on a bus tour so you can sample the wine!). It’s a sweet dessert wine but tastes lovely. Really difficult to buy over here - though Aldi had some at Christmas of all places lol!
