Mattresses!

Good morning,

I need to buy 2 mattresses for my kids. They are 12 and 13 but have a double and a king size bed each. Basically I thought i got a bargain when i brought them brand new from a man who had bought a showhouse and they were in there.

They are basic divans with open coil mattresses and they are awful!

BUT! why are mattresses so expensive?! Anyone got any tips or advise for buying a decent one for under £200? Or am I destined to be financially wiped out?

try the simba or otty refurb stores on ebay, they regularly have offers for an extra 10-20% off too, as stock levels vary, so if they dont have what you want in right now, check back in a few days, and they might have it...

recently you could get a refurb simba king size for £170

ebay/str/SimbaShop...p2047675.l2563

ebay/str/OTTY-Slee...p2047675.l2563

its probably worth setting up a keyword alert on HUKD too - hotukdeals/search?q=simba

the refurbs are ones that have been returned after the trial, but they have been fully cleaned/re-covered (if needed) and are as new, just not shrunken down into a box, they get delivered like traditional mattresses.

ive had my superking simba for a year and a bit now, and absolutely love it.

I bought a cheaper mattress for my dd and regretted it. So we got a memory foam topper and now it’s very comfortable. Might be worth a try.
