Where to keep tickets at Volcano Bay

We're staying at Cabana Bay so were planning on walking round from the hotel for a few hours relaxation.

As it's only next door I thought we could just carry towels to avoid having to use a locker, then I remembered the universal tickets are cardboard! (Why can't we have a Universal version of Magic Bands )

I've seen some people before with their tickets in those plastic holders. Do these work / are they waterproof or would I just be better off getting a locker?

What's your experience?

We just swallowed the price of the locker, things still do get stolen from all water parks, not just Universal but Disney and Aquatica so if you are planning to leave clothing or shoes then a locker is the safest method.

There are mini (think large letterbox) regular and family.

I did wonder with tapu tapu whether that was Universal dipping its toe in the whole magic band water. It is tedious carrying tickets round your neck on a lanyard. Ridiculous that you must remove all lose items to ride Hulk but you still wear your lanyard as the FOLP need scanning!
