I've not been on SM in WDW since 2014 and it was really jerky then, went on once and then let the kids ride again without us as it was just too uncomfortable - it may be better now but I wouldn't be bothered again.
Last year did SM at DLP and that was a much smoother ride and much more thrilling - rode that several times in a row early morning with no issues Did RNR in DLP then too, twice in a row, kids went again but my second ride I felt quite battered so sat out the third ride! It's one thing I am a little concerned about for our trip to Busch Gardens and Universal this year, I love coasters but as I am getting older I find the discomfort puts me off a bit!

I love SM, one of my favourite rides, it is Jerky but I think alot of that is due to the fact you can't see the drops and turns.

Looking at the track with the lights on looks exactly how it feels to ride!
However, Primeval Whirl is brutal... Edited at 11:01 AM. |

Yes I find it very jerky. It’s very sudden turns and I came off feeling very jolted! For me, It’s like a cat and mouse ride, but in the dark, so your body can’t prepare... I will be avoiding it on our next trip.

Forget watching the bags... When dh and dd decided to ride a second time, I opted for some serious retail therapy

Space Mountain is a really old school coaster with a traditional 'pully' type climb at the beginning. It's not jerky (though it looks like it would be) but the track itself is actually quite smooth. It feels like it goes faster than it actually does because you're in the dark.
RnR does throw you about a bit, and you do go upside down twice on this ride. It also goes a lot faster than SM as it has a heck of a launch (0-60mph in 3 seconds, I think). You are strapped in well but you do have to keep your head firmly back against the headrest if you want to avoid headaches etc. Everest doesn't go upside down, but it does go backwards. It's built like an old school runaway mine train type coaster but is very, very smooth. I'm not sure on speeds in comparison to the other two) but it has a heck of a lot of twists and turns as you try to escape the Yeti! The carriage itself is a lot more enclosed than Space Mountain. |

Last time in 2017 i rode space mountain.
Just after i went up the first hill all the lights came on and stayed on the whole way round. I was quite shocked as the whole thing looked like a twisted maze of metal track in the light, but yes you can see that it is very twisty and compact I like it but on the odd occasion it made me a bit Queasy. Worse though for me but the most fun coaster in Disney is BTMR. If you sit on one side of the car your partner will squish you constantly throughout the ride, good fun if you know them.
