Another great day! I would have loved to have seen that Artists ‘Scrap’ Sculptures as they look awesome.

There were so many and I was staggered that it was half a block of land! I'd love to visit at Christmas and see all his lights. Very ingenious. 🙂

What a fantastic few days Anji! I absolutely adore Hummingbirds too, they are beyond cute.
Palm Springs and Joshua Tree are on the list for next year and I will definitely be putting the aerial tramway on the top of it!
You new accommodation looks really lovely, I hate it when the pool is too cold though. Still the weather looks fabulous!

Just seen this trip report.
We love Palm Springs, and we stayed for 5 nights in 2016 up in morongo valley in a cottage in the back of beyond. It was amazing. It’s a stunning area!
When I was a little girl with my dad we met a couple who lived beside the San Andreas fault, so I was a bit fascinated by it, so loved seeing the fault line from the top of the mountain as well. We went another time to the 1000 Palms Canyon, but it was far too hot, we lasted maybe 30mins.
Really looking forward to the rest of your trip report.

I have a lot of hummingbird stuff including tattoo and wallpaper! We were lucky to see so many during our trip.

The Aerial Tramway is amazing and well worth the money as you can do a lot of walking at the top if you wish plus 2 restaurants and a bar.

The fault line is mighty yet fragile and I was glad it didn't move when we were there! Your trips sound great and the cottage idyllic 🙂 Yes, it was temperature of an oven at times!

Wow, Joshua Tree Park looks amazing. What a great day, it all looks stunning. It's lucky for the family that you teamed up and found your way out.

I am really envious that you got to Cap Rock and were aware of the Gram Parsons story. That is about as ‘Rocknroll’ as it gets!

Our next door neighbours have stayed in the room where he died - ironically they had no idea of the story AND he is in a rock band himself!
