I agree that is tight I’d not think about anything less than 4 hours and fast track security

3 hours is tight, but it's do-able if the Heathrow flight lands on time. I've managed to do the transfer in under 2 hours, with a pre-booked taxi waiting to take me to Gatwick, which took around 45 minutes IIRC, but if the flight is late arriving it will add a bit of stress to the journey.

3hrs! That's going to be really tight. So many variables (late flight, busy roads, trains being down)

We're going down to Heathrow the night before, booked the National Express, and staying at the Premier in at Gatwick ahead of the flight the next morning.

Thats a strange one. Was it a BA holiday you booked? We're flying with BA and it was them that suggested booking the connection the night before.

I'm sure you'll be good as long as the flight down is on time Best of luck!

Have you got that in writing? If you miss your flight will they put you on the next flight?

You have to be at the departure gate an hour before departure so that gives you 2 hours to get off the plane, get bags and get to Gatwick. Check in bags before the desk closes, clear security and be at the gate.

How are you getting to Gatwick
