I’m sure you can buy MagicBands at the Disney shop at the airport (MCO) which might save you a trip to Disney Springs. If you are flying into MCO that is!

I picked our Toy Story magic bands up yesterday (we are staying offsite) and as our tickets were already linked to my account in the app, I just linked them all to each person, it was dead easy. No need to collect actual tickets at all, I did check with a cast member. We visited MK today and all worked as it should

Yes that’s right. If you have the magic bands then you don’t even need the tickets. Park in the Lime garage as that’s the closest one to the World of Disney store. We picked ours up on a Sunday afternoon & there was no queue.

Thanks everyone for the messages much appreciated.
We already have our tickets linked in the MDA because we had will call numbers emailed to us when we bought our tickets directly from Disney. So we will just go to Disney Springs and get the magic bands and fingers crossed we're ready to go.

Thanks again

We did this earlier this month. The person in the shop wouldn't link the bands to our account but instead invited us to go to DS guest services who would do it. Guest services also gave us our plastic cards. I agree that these aren't necessary, provided you have no issues with the magic band, but one of our group dropped his magic band on a couple of occasions and although we noticed him doing so and retrieved it, had there been an issue then having the cards would have been a simple contingency.

Yes I guess the card tickets are useful as a back up. Otherwise if you lose a magicband you would have to buy another.
