Not sure if I read on here or Facebook but someone found that people were smoking in the toilets instead, so causing more of an issue than before. I hope he was just unlucky.

Having just got back I can update you! I arrived on the 30th so I was there for the 1st day of the ban. I didn't see a single person smoking in the toilets or parks.

I am a smoker so what was most frustrating for me was that they kept moving the smoking areas (sometimes more than once a day!) They were obviously working out what was going to work best. At first they put them after bag check - which was much better (particularly the one at Epcot as it was so out of the way) this saved the issue of having to go back through it every time but these were all moved whilst I was there.

I don't really have an issue with the ban but it was annoying not knowing where to go and the areas they have are really no more out of peoples way than they were already! I did see a lot of people smoking on the way to the areas and I didn't see that being stopped even when people were walking past security doing it.

If it helps anyone (to find or avoid!), here are where the areas were when I left...

EP - near the 1st set of toilets between the bus stops and bag check. Also one at international gateway but this was a pain to get to because of the building work!

MK - By the toilets next to the last row of bus stops, the ones furthest from the park.

HS - On the walkway to the boat dock (I think this is the worst position as lots of people still had to walk past.

AK - there were 2, 1 to the right side of rainforest café entrance (although it looked like that was being moved on my last day!) and 1 on the walkway between the bus stops and entrance.

Like I say, they were frequently moved whilst I was there so I don't know if these areas are where they will stay.

I’ve been to all 4 parks over last week, and not seen anyone smoking in the parks, or toilets - it’s been nice

Nice compared to what ... ?
Unless you were actively seeking out the smoking areas in the past you were unlikely to have come across them !
The parks were 99% smoke free before the ban anyway.

Nice compared to experiencing selfish and ignorant smokers I'd guess.

At work I've personally complained today about vapers who think it's acceptable to use them in the toilets. So acceptable that they wouldn't dare breach the rules in the open office but happy to polute the toilets and take up a cubicle while they are on a break.
