DIY help?!
I’m hopeless at DIY so I’m after some advice please. I have stone tiles in the bathroom and have a metal towel rail attached to the wall via rawl plugs into the tiles. Due to an accident, half of the towel rail has been away from the tiles leaving a larger hole there causing the towel rail to be hanging off the wall on one side. Can I fix easily? I was thinking of using gorilla glue or no more nails. How am I best doing this easily? Thanks!

Can you attach some photos to give a better idea of the scale of the problem?

The holes have got bigger meaning the towel rail is now loose on one side.

It’s really difficult to tell whether the whole fixing has become loose or the radiator bracket simply needs tightening. Likely that a new deeper or wider fixing in the same location is required or is it possible to relocate the bracket slightly? I don’t think No Nails (good as it is) is the solution here.
When the fixing has been made good, I would be trying to fill the holes and stain/colour the filler to get a reasonable match to the tiles - some experimentation needed using children’s paint set or felt tips, etc. |
