It’s very near the A40 flyover I think. I’m not sure I would stay here personally - nothing against the hotel, just the location. Thing is London (my home for much of my life) is sprawling and as such “central” is a hard target to hit.

Now, I haven't stayed as yet but going on some positive comments from other Dibbers, I have just booked 2 nights at the Leonardo Hotel in Tower Hill on 30 October for £209 including breakfast 2 days and 1 dinner. Plus there is an odd treasure hunt and movie night thing (was a family package deal).

Not sure how it will work out as my kids are 13 and 10 and they never asked the ages when booking so hoping they won't make kids eat off children's menu!

Hotel looks nice, in good location - think we'll do the tower of London this time. Rooms have 2 Queen beds so not ideal for them sharing but it's only 2 nights. Also, fully cancellable up to 48 hours before (just in case!)

We used to use the Park Plaza hotels, their family studio rooms are fantastic, they divide with a kitchenette in the middle of two bedroom areas. Modern, comfortable and not too badly priced (for London) The one at Waterloo is the newest and well located.

This is another excellent option.

The crowne plaza (city) hotel is great. It’s right across from Blackfriars tube Station. Each room has two double beds as my kids are to big for camp beds these days. We stayed there in August and the price was excellent for the standard of hotel.
