Stroller for 9 year old
Trying to find a stroller for our autistic DS who is 9 years old, 91lbs and 54inches tall. He doesn’t use a stroller at home but when we went in 2017 it was a god send as when things got too much he would just hop in, pull the hood over and chill until he was ready to carry on. He doesn’t have any mobility issues it is purely for him to have a “safe space” to go to when he gets over stimulated or if it is too crowded. Anyone any ideas of a suitable stroller we can hire

I'm planning on hiring from kingdom strollers this year too for the same reason though my ds does still use a stroller at home occasionally as he cries his legs hurt and will lay in the floor refusing to move if he has to walk any real distance mostly though he just likes to hide away.

also when you're there, drop by guest relations, and while requesting your DAS pass, also ask for the "stroller as a wheelchair" red tag
fix that tag to the stroller, and at rides, instead of leaving the stroller at the parking, show the tag to the CM, and you'll be allowed to take the stroller through the line as if it were a wheelchair if load and unload areas are in different places, the CMs will move the stroller for you to find at the exit of the ride. you may have known the option already, but repeating an info will always be useful to someone |

We have the same issue,ds will be 9 in September just after we return, also very tall and approx 70lbs at the mo,and very strong!.we have seen one called special tomato jogger,orlandomedicalrentals.co...y=SNJ1 10hich seems to be a bigger version of the baby jogger which we used until now,he obviously is too big for it now.Like your ds,we dont use a stroller at home but he is a runner and also needs a safe space,so we find the stroller very useful.

DD was 9on trip last year, she is quite tall, we got her a wheelchair to use, although no hood/cover, it helped her manage the crowds etc. She seemed to be more accepting of the wheelchair than a stroller, which i think she wouldnt have liked.
