suitcases ...

Hi all,

Any recommendations for suitcases?

Want a decent one that will last, with wheels that dont fall off!

Many thanks

We have Tripp suitcases and I really like them. They have 4 wheels which makes them really easy to manoeuvre.

We like the IT 8 wheeled cases as they’re super light and can be pushed in any direction making them very easy to manage in a busy airport. Ours have lasted well so far

We also have the Tripp cases. The ones with squares all over them. They’re really old now and have served us well. They’ve clearly had plenty of abuse but haven’t broken at all.
The slight issue is that everyone has them so we hastily scribbled our surname in large letters in the squares with a sharpie last time we checked in!

We have Tripp ones too, best cases we ever bought, they clean up so well too. Debenhams often have them on offer.

We have Samsonite Aeris cases. They were quite expensive but they have a no questions asked 10 year guarantee which really works. 2 years ago my husband broke one of the locks. We rang Samsonite up and they told us to take it to their repair workshop in Reading where they fixed it whilst we waited. We never had any receipt and the cases were about 5 years old then.

Another fan of the Tripp cases, great colours, really good to manoeuvre and they're really reasonable so I can justify changing them when they release new colours!

Recommend Eastpak, they have soft and hard shells. Believe they have lifetime guarantees, very hard wearing and usually have some good offers on if you aren’t fussed about colour/design.

We have one Samsonite which has made a few trips so far and seems like it would stand up to almost anything but it was quite expensive though. Our other cases are American Tourister and they look great but don’t seem as sturdy as the Samsonite, they were due to make their maiden voyage this year but...covid
