London hotel for sightseeing family
First time family trip, kids 12 and 10, so wanting a family room! preferably not sofa bed. Would like to be pretty central and will be relying on public transport. The likes of Premier Inn are adequate for us, would be nice if there is something a bit more interesting without costing the earth.
Any recommendations or hidden gems? |

When I was working, I used to book Citadines rooms for execs visiting with families. Everyone was very happy with their accommodation. They have various locations in London.

We normally stay at the St Giles at Tottenham Court Road, it’s cheap, clean and central. Have a look and see what you think.

Looks good but doesn’t seem to do a room for the 4 of us, makes us take 2 rooms!

Premier Inn Leicester Square is a brilliant location.

My sister stayed at the Premier Inn County Hall a few weeks ago with her family of 4 and spoke positively about the hotel and the location.

We just stayed at Park plaza Westminster in a twin studio room. It was an excellent price of just over £200 for 2 nights. Twin beds and a double sofa bed . It also had a microwave, plenty of tea and coffee. Really comfy beds. It's a really good location too, right on Westminster bridge and close to Waterloo tube station.

When you say central I guess if depends on what you class as the attractions. County hall is near the Thames , but no where near the science museum or london zoo.
The metrople Edgware road (Hilton) has plenty of rooms with 2 double beds etc, You can get a night with full english for 4 people for less then £120. They also have a pool. The hotel is a short walk from Hyde park and regents park. It has great tube links as well. |
