Turkey or Cyprus
Has any one been in the last month or so?
Considering a last min and wondered what the mask situation etc was there... Cyprus is another option but how do you get a test before you go? Thanks Edited at 07:44 PM. |

Cyprus...You have to pay for a test before you go (had to be within 72 hrs of departure) it’s circa 140£ pp from research

We came back from Turkey about a month ago. You needed to wear masks to go up to the buffets but nowhere else in the hotel. We stuck to al la carte restaurants (even for breakfast and lunch) and it was warm enough to sit outside for meals and drinks. All of the staff were wearing masks, and they were wearing them properly too.
When I was researching and pricing up holiday options on Tui and Jet2 I found that the big/chain hotels had COVID information on their own websites and Tripadvisor reviews were quite useful too. |

Also currently looking for same thing, Turkey or Cyprus , for a very last minute - can't decide between the two!
One son just came back from Cyprus, stayed at Olympic Lagoon Resort Ayia Napa, said was fabulous. Other son just back from Turkey, Aska Lara Resort, said was very good and enjoyed it but the Cyprus one sounded better to us.

I believe masks were compulsory outside of the hotel but we specifically chose a large hotel complex so that we could have a 'fly and flop' holiday with no need to leave the complex for the whole week but still have a choice of pools, restaurants and bars. It wasn't our usual holiday type but it was just what we needed.

Hi, we have just returned from Turkey and was in an AI resort, we didn’t have to wear masks anywhere inside the resort but as soon as you went outside the masks were mandatory everywhere.
We went into Antalya a few times and it was really hot wearing them as it was 40 degrees plus but it wasn’t too bad as you knew you could take them off once back inside the resort but I wouldn’t have liked to wear them all the time.
