I'm certainly no expert, but I don't know if you will manage to get a room for 5 in London. I hope I'm proven wrong though.

Get 2 rooms at Premier inn or Travelodge or take an air bed?

Have a look on Trivago and see what they can offer for family rooms for 5 as most usual hotels will only do 4.

Citadines are a self catering group of serviced apartments and I know they have 2 bedroom apartments. I used to use them for overseas visitors when I was working.

I’m in London a lot staying on business (sometimes nearly every week), but we booked this for a familY trip last year and I was very impressed with the bang for the buck and I’d say it’s one of the best located hotels for a London trip there is.
It is one of the few hotels around here (Southbank) that has re-opened and I agree its perfect location makes it very popular (probably why it was the first to reopen)

I’d recommend Premier Inn. particularly if booked now. DS has a show at Xmas and we booked the Blackfriars location the other day for the few days leading up to it. I’m sure it was only £48.50 a night!
Leicester Square was the same price and that one is usually nearer £200 a night.
I really dislike the Leicester Square location although it has been refurbed I think.
It’s the only place we’ve ever requested a refund

We have stayed at the premier inn county hall which is a great location but now we always book the Farringdon one as it’s lovely and new and the restaurant is lovely as are the staff. There are 3 tube stations within a 10-15 minute walk.
