I wish BA would start their MAN-LGW flights again so we could do this, it seems such a hassle for us to get to.

We would use either airport .
That extra 30 minutes is more than saved in getting through the airport even when MCO is having good day.

We are flying into TPA for the first time next week. Usually MCO. We are flying with BA, when we booked last September, there was a massive price difference to fly direct to TPA rather than MCO. Good to read all the positive comments.

I agree but sometimes getting out of Tampa is also problematic. Personal choice - we have used both happily!

I like Tampa better than Orlando but if Orlando was cheaper I’d go to Orlando !

We arrived at TPA last Sunday and were through immigration and in our hire car within 40mins. We found Tpa very easy to navigate and staff were so friendly. Our drive to our villa was just over an hour as we are staying in Sandy Ridge off junction 58 of the I4. If Tpa was cheaper we would use it again. Only booked TPA as it was cheaper than mco. Its just your luck on the day wherever you land with queues and weather!

Were flying into Tampa in October for the first time, and flying home from Miami. We’ve never flown into MCO so can’t compare it, but this years trip was very price driven and have paid less than £500pp for flights and car with BA for a family of 4. On all our trips we’ve saved at least £1000 or more (especially the summer ones) by not flying into MCO. Both trips to Miami we’ve been in the car within the hour and stayed at the beach for the night to break the journey up, it’s no impact to our holiday at all. We will land at TPA and drive straight up to Disney, but we’re in no rush to get there. It’s always price driven for us, if Tampa and Miami are cheaper then that’s we’re we go!
