Mobile Footwear in Florida

What footwear does everyone wear in florida? I have achilles tendonitis and generally walking is painful for me, normally wear skechers in florida but my Achilles pain was brought on by walking in skechers here so I'm at a loss what to wear

Only park I'm doing is seaworld plus nasa

Will trainers be any use? Or better with sandals?

Thanks

The only shoes I can wear in Florida that doesn't cause pain are Crocs, suffered loads of foot pain/problems til I wore Crocs, was in agony in Sketchers

Edit to add, I only wear Crocs now even in Winter

I wear flip flops or crocs. Just actually ordered some new Crocs as there is a sale on sale items 😁 would be rude to ignore 😊 I have arthritis in my feet so need comfort and my feet swell in the heat and crocs stretch with them.

My standard answer is 'Have a look at Teva'.

I wear Nike running trainers, bought them in 2016 when we first went to Florida, and they have come on every trip since, and still loads of wear, never suffer with blisters in them. I think good footwear in the parks makes such a difference. I took Sketchers in 2016, wore them before we went so were worn in, but they made my feet so sore so they went in the bin. I also take animal flip flops which are so comfy and wear these to the water parks, shops and Disney springs etc to give my feet an airing.

Teva or Merrell sandals (both companies also specialise in hiking shoes) with Birkenstocks in the evening. As I've mentioned before, I need to use heel and arch supports in Skechers.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis & over here I usually wear sketchers that have the extra cushioning in. However in florida I have always worn these sandals. I binned them on our last trip in April (so I could bring some other trainers home... Plus they hummed! LOL) but by them they had done 8 disneyworld trips (16 weeks) as well as about 15 festivals, which included 2 Glastonburys.

I find Merrill, crocs or fitflops are the best for my feet in sandals but trainers anything lightweight and breathable tends to give me enough support.
