Have you considered pre-mapping your run? I used Runkeeper and tracked a route that showed me elevation. I basically mapped a run for myself avoiding all the hills!

Week 7 run 1 completed. Felt quite good although pace slow. I don't mind but I'll be a fair way off from 5km by end of week 9.

Hopefully, I'll continue past 9 weeks and gradually speed up.

I admire anybody who sticks at it. The trick is just to take it at your own pace. I feel so much better since I started and completed. Also started spinning and swimming.

I second this! I think we should all feel incredibly proud of ourselves. It’s actually changed how I think about myself a bit. I used to think I looked silly but now I think, at least I’m doing something.
I have never worried about my pace too much, my aim has always been to finish each run and that’s worked for me. Even though sometimes I’ve felt so slow I thought I would actually stop lol 😂 keep going everyone, if I can do it anyone can!
