Virgin Atlantic sale

We are waiting for our flight dates to be released for next May, just out of interest when is the virgin sale normally on and are the upper seats from Manchester to Orlando direct included.

Not sure I believe in sales. Do your research and work out what a price you’d be willing to pay is. When the flights come out, keep checking back and book when you see your price. I have always got better prices this way than in sales.

Thanks for reply. Problem is I have only been once and we just booked straight away as it was within our budget. I dont know what a good price is.

Keeping an eye on this for next years apr-May depart Glasgow trip. Netflights currently £40pp cheaper for the same flights but they are still £700pp which is too high.

I doubt virgin will reduce thier prices in a ‘sale’ by that much. My budget is £550 but starting to think i’ll struggle to get them at that price...

We go in September from Manchester. Originally we were going from Gatwick but had to change (long story) after booking flight. When we first looked at prices they were over £1000 for a PE seat. I got them about six weeks ago for £750. Give it a few more months. In the past when we’ve booked I found they go down in price, then up again just before a sale. Don’t give up hope yet just keep checking daily.

Edited at 04:02 PM. Reason: Missed quote out

Totally agree with this. I have booked in the ‘sale’ and out of sale and paid pretty much the same price. Get a price in your head that you are comfortable paying and check regularly until you get that price.

Try not to be too precious if the price goes down after you book...this can happen, but you booked at a price you were comfortable with so try not to let it bother you (easy to say I know!).

I find that Virgin prices seem to creep up and then get reduced in a ‘sale’ to similar prices they were pre-creep... it’s just that if someone wasn’t monitoring them regularly they would think they are saving a good chunk of money.
