Dollars?

With the dollar so low at the moment, I was wondering if anyone had changed their currency in Florida and, if so, was the exchange rate any better?

Think it’s always best to change over here, when I’ve been in Shopping Malls the exchange rate offered at the kiosks doesn't seem great

Just seen it at 1.18 in asda, I do not think I've ever seen it that low before.

The pound is heading for two-year lows against the dollar as markets react to continuing Brexit uncertainty and signs that the UK economy is slowing.

No it will always be a terrible rate in the USA. My husband had leftover Euro’s in is wallet in Feb. The market rate at the time was 1.13 and they were offering 1.03 in Florida so the difference is eye watering.

Thought it wouldn't be too good and not sure if it will improve once our 'new leader' has been chosen. Listening to the news I'm not hopeful of any good news any time soon, so will be getting mine sooner rather than later! Good luck to everybody, but we can live in hope! Regarding the original question, definitely buy in the UK

I have a dilemma now. Booked accommodation direct with resort and it’s in dollars. The resort require payment on check in which isn’t until Easter 2020. With the current situation it means the accommodation is getting more expensive by the day. Should I contact the resort and pay the balance now or hold on and pray the rate gets better.

Why not put the amount on a us dollar currency card, and that way you have the rate now. X

Easter 2020 is a long time away. I definitely wouldn’t pay it now.
