We stayed at ASM last Sept, the 1 mile "running" track is next to useless, it borders the main road along the 3 All Star Resorts and you have to cross the main entrance and exit roads of each resort.

One weekend they had a 1.5 mile fun run early morning through all three resorts and the rear car parks so you can definitely craft a decent route through the resorts themselves.

We also took time out to do the Clermont Park Run, it was a early start as the run starts at 7:30 local time but the route was stunning, well worth the early alarm and 45min drive.

If not, you could always drive over to POP/AoA, they have a running track around Hourglass Lake which is a nice 1.25 mile lap.

Me & the Hubbie love a run, have to run early otherwise the humidity is a killer, thankfully jet lag helps with this so usually go at 6am up around International Drive a loop of 3 miles or more, nice & quiet that early & the endless nice restaurants motivate me to keep running even though I hate the heat 🙊IHOP Dunkin Donuts Cici’s Denny’s Perkins & on & on🙌💪😋

I've done the route around Hourglass lake (albeit before they started skyliner construction) and it was really pleasant and I quite enjoyed the route!

I've heard good things about running at the Boardwalk area too but I haven't personally tried it...

We’re in Sarasota just now. We were up early as headed to a “turtle walk” on Longboat Key for a 6.45am meet so left our hotel about 6.20am and we saw so many runners. It was a lovely temperature when we got to the beach and by the time we left about 8am the sun was properly up and it was getting hot. Hardly anyone running on our way back to the hotel.

We always go running on holiday. A good place is if you get to Disney Springs, over near where Cirque is, at the end of the car park there's a path. Takes you to Saratoga you can run around, then come back out and run along canal to Old Key West. Run around there, and back. Canal and golf course bordering paths are v pleasant. That's about 7k.
Running around the Boardwalk, through Swan and Dolphin, around Boardwalk again and then to HWS and back is quite a good one.
There was a good trail at Wilderness Lodge but it's closed to build Reflections. Shame and I will not stay there now as it's like Animal Kingdom Lodge currently, only place to run is around a car park. AKL drove us nuts last year as running machines we're hard to get on due to lack of outdoor running options.
As others say get out early. I've run both these in August, but at 6.30 am.
Here is my Strava map from the OKW/SSR/DS route (I'm slow but it was near 100% humidity!);

Edited at 08:11 AM. Reason: Added map

I will be training for a half Ironman when I go next May. Will be running and swimming most days when we are there. I was also looking at travelling to do my first international parkrun.

I try to find a couple of routes around the resorts to top the miles up. I found loads when I did a segment search on Strava and I agree if it’s not on Strava it doesn’t count.

Strava is an app that runners/cyclists use to record training and activities. It has an added benefit that you can compare yourself to others who have done the same routes.
It’s addictive though.

I'm going to doing the Castaway Cay 5k so plan to get a few runs in beforehand and will be running on deck 4. We're at ALK when we get back and tbh, with the humidity, I'll probably just run on a treadmill there.

I’m sure there’s a running trail over at Wilderness Lodge that goes over to the camp grounds
I'm doing this too - am currently on the fence between excitement and terror!

It wipes out 4-5 days of the holiday! All those early mornings - think the bus collects him at about 3.30am, not too sure but I know it’s early. I’ll be sleeping 😂
It will be a great achievement though, you’ll be glad you done it, definitely something to look back on and be proud
