Mobile Weather in July

We are going in July and keep being told about how bad the weather will be I understand that it's the rainy season but I was under the impression that it rained only for a short period usually in the afternoon. Is this the case?

You are correct, that was our experience last year. Very very hot with a mid afternoon downpour most days

Yea its usually really nice in the morning, a shower / downpour through the afternoon but warm again at night.

Bring good ponchos, and a change of socks and shoes if you want to stay in the parks but to be honest best bet is early starts and relaxing in the afternoon at the shops or room.

Common sense applies here. Weather is never 100% predictable here or anywhere else. Its not clockwork. (Could you give a guaranteed response if asked about UK weather in July?)

Yes, it is *often* the case that local rain clouds build up in the heat and result in late afternoon thunderstorms or rain, then it clears. It is not guaranteed to be the case. It might just get heavy and cloudy.

A passing weather front, or storm coming in off the atlantic or the gulf can change everything for several days...non-stop rain or cloud.

Similarly, you could go days without any significant rain. Whatever the weather you will have a blast!
