Asda pathetic currency price promise
We bought our dollars at $1.40 some months back, but I thought I would get a few more before brexit brings the rate down to £1 for 1 cent😀.
My local Asda store are advertising that they would better any currency rate within 5 miles. So I told the cashier that I wanted to beat the price at a local currency shop (I gave her the details of it), and the lady said that the Asda rate was already better than the shop in question. I confirmed that asda rate was $1.258 and shop was $1.2910, so I told her that unless my maths was bad, the rate was worse at Asda. She then agreed to better it (as per the asda price promise) and the rate promise brought it to a massive $1.2911, so a 1/100th of a cent better per £1. So my £500 worth of top up dollars are now worth an extra 5 cents thanks to the amazing Asda promise. I don't think the cashier was impressed because I asked the couple queuing behind me what currency they wanted and they also wanted dollars, so I gave them the info to get them at $1.2911 rather than asda's $1.258 |
