Taking a body board home

Hi everyone

Here in Florida and having a fab time (as usual) we want to get our Son a body board, does anyone know if we strap it to the case we could take it back home with us at no extra charge? Many thanks

Mmm. If it doen't put the case to being overweight and it doesn't exceed the permitted dimensions I would say yes.

But, high risk should it come off as it will never be seen again without a luggage tracking tag on.

Likely to get damaged as well if simply strapped to the outside with no protection (baggage handlers aren't known for being gentle ).

Thank you, that’s what I though about it getting damaged...There’s no other way without paying extra?

I assume it wont fit in the case?

If not and it's worth more than the cost of an extra luggage item you are stuck I think.

I don't know how big a body board is but my Son rocked up to the plane with a 3 foot x 3 foot picture!

The Virgin crew slid it into a wardrobe for him

Id say strapping it on would be a big no no.

Surely its not that expensive to check it in as sports equipemnt like golf clubs.

On our flight home last week one family had 2 that they carried through security presumably as hand luggage. On the plane the staff said they’d put them in a cupboard as they didn’t fit in the overhead!

Thank you, I presume it would have to take the place of your hand luggage?

I can agree with the baggage handlers comment - our cases were brand new on the last trip... you wouldnt think that if you saw them now
