We use a 3 payg sim. A £15 bundle gave us calls home and mostly 3G internet access. I think it gives 5gb data

Just to clarify free calls in the USA doesn’t apply to all ee plans.
I was told by ee over the phone that i am now on the max plan (I think that’s what it’s called), I will however, ask for something in writing to confirm that before we go next month. We used to get the 3 mobile sims and they did the job, but not always great coverage. |

We have a Three SIM card and have previously purchased ‘Feel at Home’ many times over the years, but over the years and even more so during the last three / four visits to the states I’ve noticed it’s not actually worth paying more for the bigger data package as it’s just not working well at all, as the data must be so heavily throttled that it’s far too slow to be even the slightest bit useful, and it was better and much faster to use WiFi everywhere. Personally I wouldn’t recommend the ‘Feel at Home’ / Go Roam service anymore. That said, it may still be worth paying the minimum amount which’ll give you calls home to UK if so required. I’ve recently tried the data speeds on both available networks bring AT&T and T-Mobile in Orlando Las Vegas and New York and it was unacceptable and a waste of money on both US networks.

I am on the max package if you log on to your account you can see if it’s the max package and if you are in that you get included mi;utes and data etc in the states, this will probably save you the bother of getting something in writing. I have used it before with no issue

The Three sim was good enough for me on our last trip. We mainly use wifi but on the odd occasion I needed to use data while out, it worked fine. PLus I could call home as much as I wanted
