At POR we were told that there were fixed pickup times at quarter to the hour, however we had to book to ensure a seat - it was quite busy.

I'm sure you are right. Every time I see the Minibus it seems to be half full or more. Shows how much business they do

sorry to butt in on this...can you collect from DCCC if you are not staying on site? looking at the link, it states it offers 'Guests' the services of Alamo and National Car Rental.!?
We are travelling with In Laws. I have a Full Size SUV and the idea is that we would drop their car mid stay when we go to the coast for a week, all go in the 7 seater and then they pick up a car again on the return. thought collecting from DCCC is easier than going out to MCO again but we are not staying on site.
thanks,

Hi. Anybody can collect/drop off at the CCC. Basically it's identical to any of their depots but for onsite guests it has the free Minibus. That's the only diference.

Lots of people get the Magical Express to their Resort and arrange the pickup at their convenience. It's a local call so free on the phone in your room.

This gives fuller details and pick up/drop off points

It was exactly as Mr TM describes above! Apologies if I confused you regarding the reference to Andy at discount Florida Car Hire, I meant that I booked my car through Andy but used the Alamo provided shuttle to get to the Disney Car Care Centre

Thank you so much I should have known I could count on you Mr. Tom
Oh just a thought, can you pick up car from there and return it to Sanford when returning home (would use Avis)

You can pick up from the CCC and drop anywhere. Only Alamo/National though not Avis as the CCC is an Alamo/National depot.

If you wanted Avis you would have to pick up from a Hotel on Hotel Plaza Boulevard near Disney Springs

We used this last year, decided we didn’t need a car whilst at Disney so picked it up the morning we checked out for our villa.

We got the shuttle bus from our hotel, it was quick and quiet when we got there. We weren’t too impressed with our car (jeep renegade) but it did what we needed it to do and didn’t ask for an alternative so I don’t know if they would have offered us anything else.
