Mobile Stair carpet-anyone got a patterned carpet?

We are doing our stairs and hallway. I have wood floor throughout the downstairs and have painted a very pale grey with white above the dado rail. I need a new stair carpet and I quite fancy going for a pattern or perhaps a stripe. Anyone got any ideas or inspiration?

We fitted a grey and black stripe and it looks amazing... we do have wood on the riser and carpet on the step...if that makes sense LOL

We have a vertical stripe and matching plain hall and landing. I will take a picture and attach it tomorrow in daylight if you want.

We wanteŁ stripes but decided to go for a plain carpet as our house is old and nothing is square, straight, etc. so a pattern could have looked odd. Just something to think about if your house has similar issues.

We have wooden floors downstairs, and a striped stair carpet.

You probably won’t like mine, it’s not stripy but a little spotty!

It matches my cats!

My parents have a stripey stair carpet and it looks great! They’ve carried it onto the upstairs landing as well (downstairs is wooden flooring)
