Mobile Hyde Park winter wonderland any good?

Hi I’m thinking of booking a coach trip to this anyone got any advice, was it worth it? Seems everything is an extra charge, is there anything to do that doesn’t cost extra. My ds will be 16 is there much for that age group to do? Thanks in advance

We haven't done it for 4 or 5 years but didn't rate it at all. There is no entry charge in but everything was expensive.

It has come up on here before and many people liked it, but I wouldn't recommend anyone travels too far to it (to avoid disappointment).

We went 3 or 4 years ago just as 2 adults and I really didn't like it. Everything is very expensive, but the main problem was it was so rammed full of people you couldn't even get near anything to look. Lots for a 16yr old to do but everything is extra charge.

Maybe if you could go on a weekday morning or something it would be fun. No way on a weekend!

As Micky House says. I last did it 4 or 5 years ago and wasn’t really impressed. Had been a few different years up to then and it was becoming progressively more expensive each year without getting better.

Other people really like it but I can’t place my finger on why.

I have been a couple of times but stopped going as it just didn't feel safe anymore, especially with my son being with us. Far too busy and full of gangs of teens drinking and causing trouble. There were security guards on patrol but they weren't bothered.

I love Hyde Park and spent loads of time there but wouldn't bother going again.

However, as my dad always says, its horses for courses 😉

Not been in years but found it overcrowded and unpleasant. For the Christmas market part of it, there are far better versions in Birmingham, Manchester and lots of other places (not to mention Germany which is the best!)

We've been a couple of times - just as me and DH and also with my sister, her hubby and their 3 year old.

Maybe because we went midweek it was a lot quieter than I expected - and it was very cold too!

As others have said it is VERY expensive but we dont go on any rides and we definitely dont buy anything to eat or drink - we made sure we had eaten before we went in or brought a little something with us.

If I was in London and had time I would say its nice for a walk round and peruse the stalls but I definitely wouldnt be making a special trip JUST for that - maybe combined with a bit of shopping?

We went once and wouldn’t bother again. As previous posters have said its crowded and expensive and we have been to much better Christmas markets.
